Kick Off Meeting for the phase 3 schools was organised at CLPIU (Education) office at Gyaneswor, Kathmandu on 03-Jan-2021. It was attended by dignitaries and participants from all major stakeholders of the GOI funded schools reconstruction project; namely 

• Embassy of India 

• CLPIU (Education) 

• CSIR CBRI Roorkee 

• PMC Team

• Appointed Contractor

 

Dr. K M Praphullachandra Sharma, Counsellor DP EOI, Mr. Ram Saran Sapkota, Project Director CLPIU(Edu) and Dr. Ajay Chourasia, Sr Principal Scientist CBRI Roorkee spoke on the occasion; commended on the achievements so far and stressed on the need for concerted efforts as the way forward for the success of the project.

Phase 3 schools comprises of 4 schools in Kathmandu and 2 schools in Kavre and tender has been awarded recently. Construction will commence this week and is expected for handing over by May 2022.

 

It is to be mentioned that tendering of all the 70 schools of the GOI funded post earthquake reconstruction project have been completed. Tender award of the remaining central library building is expected later in this month.
