Post-Earthquake Reconstruction of Education & Health Sector Projects in Nepal
Inauguration of 48 reconstruction projects at India Nepal DP conclave
CSIR-CBRI feels proud to dedicate 48 post-earthquake reconstruction projects (30 schools & 18 health posts) for the service of People of Nepal which were inaugurated at the India - Nepal Development Partnership Conclave on 23-Jan-2023. CSIR-CBRI team, under Dr Ajay Choruasia (Team Leader), very successfully performed Planning, Design & Construction Monitoring of these projects. The Conclave also witnessed 27 other development partnership projects in Nepal that have been successfully completed in FY 2022-23 in multiple sectors of partnership bringing the total count of projects to 75 .
The Chief guest of the Inauguration event were :
- Hon'ble Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Dy PM Govt of Nepal & Minister MoPIT
- Mr. Prabhat Kumar, OSD (Economic Relations & Development Partnership Administration), Govt of India
- H.E. Mr. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal
These projects were a part of 71 education & 132 health sectors being built under Govt of India grant assistance of US$ 100 million (50 million US$ to each sector). Till date 44 Education & 18 health sector projects have been completed. We expect a substantial increase in the numbers this year as many projects in both sectors are nearing completion.
Hard work and dedication by the PMC team site engineers deployed at various locations deserve a special mention.
