Ground Breaking Ceremony : School ID 71

Ground breaking ceremony for Kanti Bhirab Ma Vi (School ID 71) was held on 18-02-2021 at Thali, Kathmandu. Mr. Sushil Gyewali, CEO NRA was the chief guest and Ms. Namgya Khampa, DCM EoI was the special guest of the occasion.

Kick Off Meeting of Phase 3 Schools

Kick Off Meeting for the phase 3 schools was organised at CLPIU (Education) office at Gyaneswor, Kathmandu on 03-Jan-2021. It was attended by all the major stakeholders of the GOI funded schools reconstruction project : Embassy of India, CLPIU (Education), CSIR CBRI Roorkee, PMC Team and the 
Appointed Contractor.

Inauguration of 3 Schools in Gorkha District

Mr. H V Shringla HE Foreign Secretary, Govt of India & Mr. Ramkrishna Sapkota, Secretary NRA jointly inaugurated 3 schools in Gorkha district on 27-11-2020 completed under India's post earthquake Reconstruction assistance.

Handing over of school at Nuwakot

Aiselubhume Secondary school in Nuwakot was handed over for service on 10th Feb 2020 in a colourful ceremony. It was the first school of the GoI funded reconstruction project. Former prime minister of Nepal Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Phase 1 hand over status

All the 8 schools - 5 schools in Nuwakot & 3 Schools in Gorkha have been formally handed over for service.

2 Schools have already completed Defect Liability Period.

Phase 2 schools update

Construction is on full swing at all 56 sites across 7 districts and will be available to hand over in the second half of the year. 

Kavre Districts leads the way. As on date, 3 nos. schools in Kavre have completed construction and rest 07 schools are expected to finish by end of June 2021. 

Phase 3 schools

Construction at Phase 3 school comprising of 4 schools in Kathmandu and 2 schools in Kavre districts have started. Mobilization commenced in the first week of Feb 2021 and is expected for completion by May 2022.

Tender Process by CLPIU,GoN

The Tender and Bidding Process for all projects have been completed except Tribhuvan University Central Library. This is expected to be completed soon.

Project Website Launched

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Vinay M Kwatra and CEO of National Reconstruction Authority, GoN Mr. Sushil Gyewali virtually launched the project information website on 22nd September 2020.
