CSIR CBRI Roorkee Celebrates a Milestone Achievement!  

CSIR-CBRI feels proud to inform that Hon’ble Dr S Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs, GOI and Mr Narayan Prasad Saud, Foreign Minister, GON jointly inaugurated Nepal’s biggest Tribhuvan University Central Library, 25 schools and 32 hospitals on 5th January 2024.

4th JPMC meeting between Govt of India & Govt of Nepal 

4th Joint Project Monitoring Committee meeting was held on 7th October 2023 to review the progress of post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Nepal being undertaken with Govt of India grant assistance. Mr. Anurag Srivastava, Joint Secretary (North),MEA, Govt. of India & Mr. Padma Kumar Mainali, Joint Secretary, MOUD, Govt.of Nepal co-chaired the meeting. Both the government representatives expressed satisfaction on the completion of projects in the Education sector & agreed to expedite the implementation of projects in Health sector.

NEWS ALERT!!!!!
Earthquake Reported in Western Nepal 

3rd October 2023. Today, two earthquakes shook western Nepal with epicentre in Bajhang district. An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was recorded at 2:40pm  followed by another 6.3 magnitude tremor at 3:06pm. We would like to inform that all our Education & 75% Health Sector projects have been completed with high standard within time and financial allocation; none of the buildings have even minor damage and performing exceptionally well with greater satisfaction by the community at large in today’s seismic event in Nepal of 6.2 magnitude.

Inauguration of Bishnudevi School at Kathmandu 

Bishnu Devi Madhyamik Vidyalaya, situated at Naikap, Ward no. 15 Chandragiri Municipality, Kathmandu was inaugurated in a colourful function held today. Mr. Karun Bansal, first secretary, Embassy of India was the chief guest and accompanied by Nishi Arora, second secretary (EoI) and the function attended by ward chairperson, representatives from CLPIU(Education), school administraton - SMC , principal, teachers , students and other invited guests.

Inauguration of 48 reconstruction projects 

CSIR-CBRI feels proud to dedicate 48 post-earthquake reconstruction projects (30 schools & 18 health posts)  for the service of People of Nepal which were inaugurated at the India - Nepal Development Partnership Conclave on 23-Jan-2023.

New Indian Ambassador to Nepal arrives in Kathmandu

New ambassador of India to Nepal HE Mr. Naveen Srivastava arrived in Kathmandu on 25th June afternoon. Upon arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan Intl Airport, Mr. Srivastava was received by Indian Mission’s Charge De Affairs, Namgya Khampa along with others. We would like to wish his excellency a warm welcome to Nepal.

Witness of progress in construction of 132 health facilities

Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi & Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba jointly witnessed the progress in construction of 132 health facilities across 10 districts in Nepal being built under India’s post-earthquake reconstruction assistance during the visit of PM of Nepal to India on 02 April 2022.

Ground breaking ceremony of Nepal's biggest digital library at Tribhuvan University Kathmandu was jointly made by Honourable Minister of Education, Science and Technology and HE Shri Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Ambassador, Embassy of India in Nepal on 15 Mar 2022. 

 

This project is funded by Government of India and Design & Project Management by CSIR CBRI Roorkee.

International Conference on Nepal Reconstruction 2021

CSIR-CBRI Roorkee participated in the International Conference on Nepal's Reconstruction ICNR 2021 organized by National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Government of Nepal from 07th -09th Dec 2021. Showcased CBRI's experiences & technologies for disaster resilient structures and achievements in the education & health sector reconstruction projects.

Workshop on Project Orientation

A half-day training workshop on Project Orientation & Quality Assurance Protocol was held at CLPIU (Building) on 23-Nov-2021. Representatives of CLPIU, DLPIU, PMC, Contractors & CSIR CBRI Roorkee joined the online event. The objectives of the training was to align the stakeholders with the project objectives, provide a clarity on their roles and responsibility & Quality Assurance Protocol.

Inauguration of 6 schools in Kavre District

On 29-09-2021, 6 schools of phase 2 were inaugurated in a colourful ceremony at held Ajad Madyamik Vidyalaya, Banepa, Kavre District. Mr. Anurag Srivastava, Joint Secretary (North), Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India,  Hon. Gokul Prasad Baskota, MP Kavrepalanchowk 2, Hon. Ganga Bahadur Tamang, MP Kavrepalanchowk 1 and Mr. Dhurba Prasad Sharma, Executive Member, NRA, Govt. of Nepal were the chief guests of the occasion.

MoU signed for 103 health sector buildings

On 03-09-2021, Signing ceremony of Project Specific MoU for 103 Health Facilities and 14 cultural heritage projects was held in Kathmandu today between Embassy of India and Govt of Nepal.GoI will provide financial assistance of NR 305.75 crore for the 103 health facilities.

MoU signed for 25 health sector buildings

On 26-02-2021, Embassy of India in Nepal signed four memorandums of understandings (MoU's) with Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Building) of National Reconstruction Authority for reconstruction of 25 health posts in Nepal. 12 health posts are located in Dhading district and 13 are in Sindhupalchowk district. The health posts will be reconstructed at a cost of NR 53 crore.

Ground Breaking Ceremony : Kanti Bhairab School, Kathmandu

Ground breaking ceremony for Kanti Bhirab Ma Vi (School ID 71) was held on 18-02-2021 at Thali, Kathmandu. Mr. Sushil Gyewali, CEO NRA was the chief guest and Ms. Namgya Khampa, DCM EoI was the special guest of the occasion.

Kick Off Meeting of Phase 3 Schools

Kick Off Meeting for the phase 3 schools was organized at CLPIU (Education) office at Gyaneswor, Kathmandu on 03-Jan-2021. It was attended by all the major stakeholders of the GOI funded schools reconstruction project : Embassy of India, CLPIU (Education), CSIR CBRI Roorkee, PMC Team and the Contractor.

Inauguration of 3 Schools in Gorkha District

Mr. H V Shringla HE Foreign Secretary, Govt of India & Mr. Ramkrishna Sapkota, Secretary NRA jointly inaugurated 3 schools in Gorkha district on 27-11-2020 completed under India's post earthquake Reconstruction assistance.

EDUCATION
Handing over of school at Nuwakot

Aiselubhume Secondary school in Nuwakot was handed over for service on 10th Feb 2020 in a colourful ceremony. It was the first school of the GoI funded reconstruction project. Former prime minister of Nepal Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal was the chief guest of the ceremony.
